We are looking for a series of sculptures to help create a demarcation boundary at our opening event.
What does demarcation mean? The action of fixing the boundary or limits of something.
What does that mean? It means we need to make it clear as to the boundaries of our event without needing to build a fence or put up rope.
How are we going to do that? We want your sculptures to define the boundaries of our event. We will place one sculpture in each corner of Testing Grounds.
What can it be? Absolutely anything. Go weird. Go bold. Go public.
Your work will be in the public realm and could stay up for up to two weeks at Testing Grounds. We are ideally after two to four medium to large sculptures to define the border of Testing Grounds. You are welcome to submit a single sculpture or up to four sculptures as a series. It can be a work that has already been made or shown. It does not have to be an original work for this event, although it is encouraged.
We can provide $500 per sculpture. Each sculpture will have up to around 2m x 2m.
When: 26 November 2022
Where: Testing Grounds 391 Queen St Melbourne 3000
Applications are due by 15 November
