We all hit roadblocks from time to time and can get lost when trying to make an idea a reality.
This road map to creative practice can be a useful exercise in working identifying your values and goals, where things can get tricky, and what you need to do in order to keep going.
Use this analogy
You have a goal to climb a mountain and do an interpretive dance on its peak. But first you must wade through a treacherous swamp at the base. What items will you put in your backpack to get through the swamp and climb that mountain?
What are your top (up to 5) values and goals in your creative practice?
What experiences make it hard to make room for these values and/or achieve these goals?
What skills/practices would help you make room for these values/goals or make room for them in a constructive way?
