An industry professional (a committed creative practitioner or arts worker) can nominate a creative practitioner who they believe will greatly benefit from the particular environment, facilities and infrastructure of Testing Grounds. In addition, the creative practitioner should demonstrate a need for a dedicated studio space and stipend for three weeks. Letters of nomination should address this criteria.
Nominators and nominees should read about Buying Time in the Program Structure, before submitting an application.
Creative practitioners cannot nominate themselves for the Buying Time residency. Creative practitioners can apply for the other residency program for themselves through the online Expression of Interest. The purpose of the nomination process (as opposed to an individual application process) is to promote generosity and peer-to-peer reviewing.
