Please note: Help Desk is currently at capacity. You can still submit an enquiry and we will respond in late August.

‘Hold Please’, Thomas Schmocker, 2018

Welcome to Help Desk.

This is a virtual portal that helps you develop your professional creative practice. Simply submit an enquiry via the online form, telling us what you would like help with, and one of our friendly creative mentors will contact you for a 40-minute virtual meeting, where you can pick their brains and get experienced industry advice- for free!

Help Desk is open from the 15th of June – 7th of August and operates on a first-in, best-dressed policy. So get in touch now, before the program opens, to secure yourself a meeting.

This program is open to all creative disciplines and can assist with almost anything;

  • Negotiating contracts and writing agreements
  • Forming relationships with galleries, festivals and presenters
  • Documenting and archiving projects and up-keeping websites.
  • Pitching, touring (metropolitan and regional) and writing proposals
  • Tips for running your practice as a small business
  • Navigating institutions, museums
  • Advocating or the arts
  • Strategic planning for artists
  • Budgets, acquittals and what to do next
  • Mental health, resilience and balancing work/life
  • Providing critical feedback on creative work

Or maybe something we don’t even have listed here! We can also help connect you with another service or point you in the right direction. We are also building an open-access portal full of great resources.

Whatever it is, Help Desk is here to help you develop the tools you need for your creative practice to thrive in this turbulent world.
